Organising your stay

School hours:

Arrival is scheduled for the afternoon of Monday June 9th and departure for the morning of Saturday June 21th.

Courses will start on the morning of Tuesday June 10th and end on the evening of Friday June 20th.

Participants are expected to attend school for the two weeks.

Transport from Ajaccio airport to Cargèse:

Shuttles bus from Ajaccio airport to Cargèse and back will be available on the first and last day of the school. Participants should arrive at Ajaccio airport on the afternoon of June 9, 2025.

The bus will leave at 5:30 pm and will not be able to wait. We therefore recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please plan your travel accordingly.

If you miss the bus, you are responsible for your own transport.

Departure by bus from Cargèse to Ajaccio is scheduled for June 21, at 8:00am. Please plan your departure by plane from Ajaccio airport on June 21 from 10:30 am (1h30 is required to reach the airport).
For information: Daytime cab fares are €120 and nighttime fares for Sundays and public holidays are €160.

Accommodation:

Shared room is the standard lodging protocol during the school. Some extra fees will be requested from those asking for a single room (if available).

The Institute housing facilities on site include 27 double rooms. Three rooms are fully accessible to persons with reduced mobility.


Most participants are often lodged in the village of Cargèse, in studios to 3 bedrooms apartments. Only bed linen and toilet towels are provided.
Please bring your own beach towel.

 

A 20 minutes walk is required to reach the Institute from the village, it is therefore necessary to provide proper footwear and a flashlight for night returns.

Persons accompanying participants cannot reside on the school site.

Meals:

The Institute provides coffee breaks, lunches and breakfast to all participants .

Evening meals are not included in the forfeit of the Institute (with the exception ofbanquet). Participants should autonomously take care for evening meals. The Institute may, upon request, assist in organizing group meals at restaurants in the village.
